How this came about:
When you are young time runs slowly. Someone said that for a little kid the three hours from breakdfast to lunch was an eternity. When you get older, that three hours goes by in 3 seconds. And you might look at the clock and ask if it might please slow down. And there are some other things you might ask for as well.
